Stargazing at Tintern Abbey. Crown Copyright – Cadw

Thanks to John Marjoram from the Federation of Museums & Art Galleries of Wales for flagging up this funding opportunity for Welsh museums and galleries!

The Federation of Museums & Art Galleries of Wales is again making a small amount of money available for grants to support activities and events during the Welsh Museum Festival (24th October to 1st November 2015).

Remember that the Museums at Night festival 30th /31st October takes place during Festival week, so applications can link to that too.

£250 grants to support your events

Grants up to £250 are available to fund new events specifically for the Festival. There is no match funding requirement but grants that support larger projects are welcome. The £250 could be spent on organising an event, activity or exhibition, printing some of the branded posters/postcards, printing local promotional materials, pop-up banner, promotional freebies e.g. bags, stickers, pencils, towards placing local advert, circulating flyers, etc.

Projects must relate to the objectives of the Festival and be within Festival week. Any projects will need to be appropriately branded and advertised on the campaign website.

We would especially welcome applications for events within Community First and Pioneer areas.

Application deadline is August 1st, and the application form can be downloaded here.

If you have any questions, please contact John Marjoram by emailing [email protected] or calling 01978 861621.
