Museums at Night

11-14 May 2016 / 27-29 Oct 2016

Inviting visitors to share photos of themselves at an event using a hashtag – a good example from the National Archives

At our recent series of workshops, I spoke about a subject that affects every organisation taking part in the Museums at Night festival: how to promote your events so that your target audience find out about them and come along, as well as how to capture what happens at your events, and how to convert your one-off visitors into fans.

Most of the questions from museums and galleries that I answer over the phone, email and live chat on this website relate to marketing and publicity, and this presentation aims to help your museum or gallery describe your events in a compelling way, create press releases and publicity images that get results, and raise awareness of your events using social media.

Make yourself a cup of tea, and enjoy this 20 minute talk!
